There is a wise man. One day, he meets a young man. The young man loses his temper（发脾气）and shouts at the wise man.
The wise man does not shout back. He just smiles and keeps quiet.
The young man feels confused（疑惑的）. “Why don’t you shout at me?” he asks.
The wise man says, “If someone gives you a gift and you do not take it, who gets the gift?”
“The giver still gets it,” says the young man.
“That’s right,” says the wise man. “Your anger（愤怒）is like that gift. If I do not accept（接受）it, the anger stays with you.”
The young man thinks hard. Then he understands. From that day on, he learns to count to ten before speaking. He takes a deep breath when he feels angry.
He thanks the wise man for teaching him to control（控制）his feelings.
