2026年作业本浙江教育出版社九年级英语上册外研版第82页答案
D
In this part, Don Quixote and his servant Sancho set off on a special adventure together.
①Don Quixote sold some small and old things to get enough money for their trip. Sancho decided to go with him and brought his own donkey. Don Quixote thought it was strange to take a donkey on an adventure, because he had never seen anyone do that before, but it was their only choice. They left their homes quietly one evening without telling their family or friends.
②“We will soon become rich and powerful,” Sancho said with great joy, looking forward to their journey.
③“In six days, you will rule an island, and you may even become a king if you work hard,” Don Quixote replied confidently, patting Sancho on the shoulder.
④“Are you sure about that?” Sancho asked in surprise. “My wife is not able to be a queen. To be honest, she is not ready for such a noble and important life at all.”
⑤“Believe in yourself. You can deal with any trouble that comes to you during the journey,” Don Quixote encouraged him patiently.
⑥Soon, when they were walking on the road, they noticed about thirty windmills(风车) standing in the distance.
⑦“Look over there!” Don Quixote cried out loudly. “Those are terrible giants! We must go and defeat them at once!”
⑧“What giants?” Sancho looked around and felt quite confused.
⑨“Those big creatures with long arms right there,” Don Quixote pointed to the windmills firmly.
⑩“Master, they are just common windmills, not giants,” Sancho explained carefully.
⑪“You do not understand what I see,” Don Quixote said seriously. Then he rode his horse Rocinante quickly and rushed toward the nearest windmill.
⑫Strong winds blew heavily that day, making the windmill sails spin very fast. His long lance got stuck in the moving sails. He and his horse lost their balance and fell heavily to the ground.
⑬Sancho quickly rode his donkey over to help him stand up. “I have reminded you many times that they are windmills,” he said worriedly.
⑭“Some bad magician turned the giants into windmills to trick me,” Don Quixote said weakly. “I will find him and fight against him one day.”
⑮“A real knight never complains, no matter how badly he gets hurt,” Don Quixote added firmly.
