二、阅读理解。
“You’re it!” Neva shouted as she touched(碰) my arm. I saw Ray and ran after him. But he turned right and I didn’t tag him. Neva was near him, so I started running after her. But she shouted, “No tag backs!
“Why?” I said, “We didn’t make rules for this game, so I can tag you any time.”
“Then I’m not playing,” Neva said. After that, our tag game was over. I felt unhappy, so I talked with Ray.
“Maybe this is why people make rules,” Ray said. “If we agreed to Neva’s rules before, we might still be playing.”
“Maybe,” I said, “but rules are boring. I just want to play!”
I decided to try playing with others without any rules. The next day, I played football and pushed Domi. His arm hurt. The other kids didn’t want to play with me any more.
Then, I went on the monkey bars(攀爬架). I began climbing before Amy finished her turn. She turned back suddenly and we both fell down. She cried because she couldn’t break her record. I was alone again.
“Maybe rules have a reason,” I thought. If we had rules for the tag game, Neva might feel fair and still play. If I followed football rules, Domi wouldn’t get hurt, and the kids would still play with me. If I waited my turn on the monkey bars, Amy wouldn’t be sad and could break her record.
Then I found Ray. “Ray, you’re right,” I said, “Rules are important. They help keep games fair, safe and fun for everyone. Let’s talk to Neva about fair tag rules.”
1. How many games are mentioned in the story?
A. One. B. Two. C. Three.
2. What does the underlined sentence “No tag backs!” mean in paragraph 1?
A. You can’t tag the people who just tagged you.
B. You mustn’t run after the person behind you.
C. You shouldn’t tag others’ backs with hands.
3. Why did Neva stop playing the tag game?
A. She touched “my” arm.
B. The game was over.
C. “I” didn’t follow her rules.
4. What did Ray suggest to solve the problem with Neva?
A. Playing different games together.
B. Agreeing on rules before playing.
C. Asking teachers for help.
5. What can we learn from this passage?
A. Winning is the most important thing.
B. Rules help keep games fair, safe and fun.
C. Only strong kids can play sport well.
