But for Mr Liu from Chengdu, Sichuan, he often does some other things in such a short time. In 15 minutes, he often walks to a park to do some exercise in the morning. He also walks to a market to buy some food in the afternoon. It's all because he lives in a 15 - minute neighbourhood.
Chengdu is building 15 - minute neighbourhoods. These neighbourhoods make it possible for people to walk or ride about 15 minutes from home to offices, shops, restaurants, schools, parks, libraries, hospitals and so on. 15 - minute neighbourhoods really bring lots of convenience(便利) to the people in Chengdu. They help people live an easy and happy life.
Mr Liu lives in Xishulu Neighbourhood, one of the 15 - minute neighbourhoods. His favourite place in it is the service centre. “It just takes me a few minutes to walk there from home. There I can read books and take classes. Now I'm learning Chinese painting,” Mr Liu says. In that service centre, there is also a coffee shop, a university(大学) for old people, a dining hall with cheap food and an art gallery(画廊).
Mr Liu's life is interesting and wonderful. He really enjoys living in his neighbourhood.
