Last weekend everyone was busy. We were getting ready for

our camping trip. Soon everything was ready. We jumped into
the camper van and started our trip.
The first day was great. We drove through the forest. After
we got to the campsite, we rode our bikes and went swimming.
On the second day we went fishing. It was lovely to eat fresh food. But on the third
day, there was something bad. The smell of burning went everywhere. The sky
turned black and then orange. It was a forest fire. Mum drove fast. Black smoke was
everywhere. Suddenly a burning tree fell down and I could see something in the
tree. Dad got out of the van and quickly picked up a little koala. It was hurt. Fire was
everywhere. Mum drove faster and faster to escape the fire. Soon we were safe. But
we were very worried about the koala. We took it to an animal hospital. The koala
was OK. But it wasn't strong enough to go back to the forest. So we took it home.
After a week, the koala was better. Then we drove back to the forest. I was sad to
say goodbye to the koala.
It was a long journey home. We were all sad. But look at what I found in the
van ...the little koala!
