Should Friends Be the Same?
Different people have different ideas about what a good friend should be like. In my opinion, it is not necessary for friends to be the same. It is even better if friends have different personalities and hobbies.
My best friend is Wang Lin. She is much quieter than me, and she always likes to stay in the classroom to read books when we are free. I am very outgoing, and I always like to play different kinds of sports with other classmates after class. We are quite different from each other.
Our differences help us a lot in our daily life. I hated reading books before, and Wang Lin often shares her interesting books with me and tells me many fun stories from books. Now I also fall in love with reading. Wang Lin was weak and got sick easily in the past, so I often ask her to play badminton with me after school. Now she is much stronger than before. We learn a lot from each other.
I think friends with different characteristics can help us open our eyes to new things, and make us become better people. We can get more special and interesting experiences when we stay with friends that are different from us.
