Study the job description
Don't just skim the job description. Take time to think about each responsibility and skill listed, and write down point by point why you believe you're the best person for the job.
Also, if you know someone who works at the company, reach out to them! Get as much information about the job, the team and the company as possible.
Always check the company's website
You can get a lot of information just by reading the company's website. Determine exactly what the company does, who manages it and who its customers are. If you're lucky, you might also find information on staff currently in the role you want.
Read the company's latest news

Lastly, find out who is going to interview you. The person's name may be already in an email that you have received about the job. If not, ask who the interviewer is likely to be.
