One day, a lion came to the library. When the worker Mr McBee saw the lion, he ran very fast to tell the head librarian(图书馆馆长) Miss Merriweather about this. But Miss Merriweather thought that the lion didn't break(违反) any rules. So they just left the lion be there.

It was the story hour and the lion loved it very much. When the story finished, the lion wanted to listen to more stories. So he roared(吼叫). Miss Merriweather said, "Don't be noisy, or you have to leave. A nice, quiet lion is welcome."

From that on, the lion learned lots of rules. He also helped do some jobs in his free time. Everyone loved him.
But one day, Miss Merriweather fell down. The lion ran to ask Mr McBee for help, but Mr McBee didn't understand that. So the lion roared at Mr McBee. The lion knew he broke the rules and then left.

The lion didn't come for the next few days. Miss Merriweather wasn't happy. Mr McBee knew why, so he found the lion and said, "There is a new rule—$\boldsymbol{\underline{\quad \Delta \quad}}$."

The next day, the lion came again. Everyone was happy!

6. C 【细节理解】由故事中的“When the story finished, the lion wanted to listen to more stories. So he roared.”
7. B 【细节理解】由梅里威瑟小姐对狮子说的话“Don’t be noisy, or you have to leave. A nice, quiet lion is welcome.”
8. A 【细节理解】由故事中的“The lion didn’t come for the next few days. Miss Merriweather wasn’t happy.”
