2026年初中必刷题九年级英语下册人教版第17页答案
Ⅰ 完形填空
[2025 黑龙江牡丹江一模] Life is full of unexpected things. This is a true story that happened
to
a small pet dog. A dog called Romeo was pulled out from the rubble (瓦砾) five days after a(n)
earthquake
.
Years ago, a terrible earthquake happened in a country near the Pacific Ocean. Romeo’s owners were on the second floor of their house at that time. They managed to
get out
. But Romeo was sleeping on the first floor and was trapped (困住) inside. After the earthquake, they tried their best to search for Romeo, but the result
disappointed
them. The whole building fell down and it seemed impossible to go inside to look for
anything
. After a few hours, they had to leave the village for their own
safety
.
All hope of finding Romeo alive seemed to
disappear
. The owners thought Romeo might have been dead. Five days later, they
returned
to their village with a group of firemen.
As soon as
they came into the village, Romeo heard their voices and began barking (吠叫). The owners couldn’t believe their ears. The firemen began
digging
at once. It was lucky that the dog was not hurt.
After Romeo was saved, it drank its first drop of water from a bottle in more than 130 hours. Then it looked
better
. When Romeo’s owners saw it, they couldn’t help crying. “We thought we
had lost
it forever!” said one of the Romeo’s owners. Then Romeo left
happily
with its owners.
The
unexpected
thing also cheered those firemen. “We believe there must be many more lives that are still
alive
. We’ll try our best to save them,” one fireman said.

Ⅱ. 阅读理解
A month before my first marathon, one of my ankles was hurt and this meant not running for two weeks, leaving me only two weeks to train. Yet, I decided to go ahead.
I remember my 7th year in school. After my first P. E. class, the teacher told me that I was “not athletic (擅长运动的)”. The idea that I was “not athletic” stuck with me for years. When I started running in my thirties, I realized running was a fight against myself, not about competition or whether or not I was athletic. It was all about the fight against my own body and mind. A test of wills!
The night before my marathon, I dreamed that I couldn’t even find the finishing line.
I woke up, being helpless and nervous but ready to prove something to myself. Shortly after crossing the starting line, my shoelace became untied. So I stopped to tie it. Not the start I wanted! I had been left behind by others at the beginning.
At mile (1 mile≈1,609 meters) 3, I passed a sign: “GO FOR IT, RUNNERS!”
By mile 17, I became out of breath and the once-hurt ankle hurt badly, but I still stayed the course, walking a bit and then running again.
As I came near to mile 23, I could see my wife waving a sign. She is my biggest fan. She never minded the alarm clock sounding at 4 a. m. or questioned my expenses on running.
I was one of the final runners to finish. But I finished! And I got a medal. In fact, I got the same medal as the one that the person who came in first had. I can now call myself a “marathon winner”.
