Chang'e 6 is a Chinese lunar probe. It explored the far side of the Moon and collected soil samples in 2024. No one had ever collected soil samples from that area before.
As we all know, the Moon travels around Earth. It always faces the same side toward Earth, so we cannot see its far side from our planet. It's also super quiet there because it's hard for any messages to get through. Landing there is more difficult than landing on the near side. Because of these challenges, Chang'e 6's whole mission was more complex and lasted about 53 days.
To solve the communication problem, China first launched a satellite called Queqiao 2. It was placed in a special orbit where it could "see" both the far side of the Moon and Earth. This special position helped Queqiao 2 pass messages between Chang'e 6 and Earth.
What does the far side look like?
The far side looks a lot like the near side. But it has more craters. It also has a super large basin called the South Pole-Aitken basin. It's the largest of its kind in the solar system. This is where Chang'e 6 lands.
Is the far side always in the dark?
No. Both sides of the Moon have night and day just like Earth does.
Fun Moon facts:
★The Moon has much less gravity(重力) than Earth. If you weigh 30 kg on Earth, you would weigh only about 5 kg on the Moon.
★The Moon is about 384,400 km away from Earth. We would have to put about 18 Great Walls end to end to reach the Moon.
★It's very hot during the day and very cold at night on the Moon.
Day: 130 degrees
Night: -180 degrees

任务(Task):从原文第一段“Chang'e 6 is a Chinese lunar probe. It explored the far side of the Moon and collected soil samples in 2024.” 着陆点(Landing spot):从原文第五段“It also has a super large basin called the South Pole-Aitken basin. This is where Chang'e 6 lands.” 飞行时间(Trip time):从原文第二段“Chang'e 6's whole mission was more complex and lasted about 53 days.” 卫星伙伴(Its satellite friend):从原文第三段“To solve the communication problem, China first launched a satellite called Queqiao 2.” 原文第二段提到“Landing there is more difficult than landing on the near side.”,故判断为T;2. 原文第五段提到“The far side looks a lot like the near side.”,并非差异大,故判断为F;3. 原文“Fun Moon facts”第一条明确“The Moon has much less gravity than Earth.”,故判断为T;4. 原文提到“It's very hot during the day and very cold at night on the Moon.”,白天炎热而非寒冷,故判断为F;5. 原文“Is the far side always in the dark? No. Both sides of the Moon have night and day just like Earth does.”,并非始终黑暗,故判断为F。
