In the USA, many children need a carpool. A carpool is right for children who live far away from school and their schools don’t have school buses.
Parents are often busy and they don’t have enough(足够的) time to take their children to school in a car every day. So they think of a new idea. They use a carpool. That means a group of students share a car and they go to school by car. There are usually four or five kids in a carpool. Their parents take turns(轮流) taking the kids to school in their cars.
Getting to school in a carpool is useful for parents and students. Students can get to school easily if they choose to go in a carpool. And it can help their parents save(节省) a lot of money.
Teamwork is really important in the carpool because no one wants to make the others late for class. If you sit in the car and wait for a classmate for a long time, you may get a little angry(生气). But your carpool friends might feel the same way when you keep them waiting.
