he Tour de France (环法自行车赛) is the world's most famous bicycle race. It's also the oldest. It got its start in 1903 as a way to increase sales for a sports newspaper. The Tour takes place every year and is usually run in July.

For the first time in five years, the Tour is completely in France. It starts in Lille on the 5th and ends in Paris on the 27th. During the race, the riders ride 3,320 kilometers, and they ride through flat, hilly, and mountain areas. The rider with the fastest time altogether is the winner.

Each day of racing also has a winner. The winner gets to wear the yellow leader shirt. Many riders dream of wearing the famous race symbol, especially on the Tour's final day.
