2026年期末试卷汇编浙江教育出版社七年级英语下册人教版第35页答案
C
There are only about 5,500 tigers still living in the wild today. But in the USA, about 10,000 tigers live as pets! Some people think keeping big cats like tigers or lions is cool. But it's actually very bad. Firstly, a big wild cat needs a lot of space to run free. Secondly, the owners(主人) often don't know how to look after such cats. They don't give their pets the right kind of food or the care they need, and many die. Finally, they can be dangerous to people—it's in their nature!
Then wildlife parks are better choices. For example, Longleat Safari Park opened in 1966. It's the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. In Longleat, you can see lions, elephants, giraffes and monkeys running free, like in the wild. There are also tigers, wolves, bears and more! You can see gorillas, penguins and beautiful butterflies too. To visit the park, you can drive your own car or take a safari bus. You can even have a special tour with a guide! In that way, we can both protect(保护) the animals and have a wonderful trip there.
But wildlife parks are not the best homes. The nature is! Take Adelie penguins as an example. They are smaller than most other penguins. They are 45 cm—75 cm tall. They have black and white feathers. Their heads are black. They look funny when they walk, but they are amazing swimmers and they can go down to 180 m underwater. Many Adelie penguins live in Antarctica now. But global warming(全球变暖) is bad for them. They eat small sea animals under the ice. When the ice melts, they can't find enough food.
Every animal should have a good life. What can we do to make the world better for them?
