Muffin, a cat, is a special library visitor. Nearly every day, he walks to the Dorval Library in Quebec from his nearby home. *He goes straight to the front door like he is going to work.
Soon, Muffin becomes the library's special helper. He welcomes visitors in his quiet and friendly way. The workers say he even comes on time.
“He knows when to arrive (到达). He knows when we close. He also knows which doors to go to,” said the worker Dorothy Black.
He goes to the library every day. His family know his habits (习惯) well. They sometimes tell the library first before letting him out. Sure enough, he arrives in just a few minutes.
“One day they called and said, ‘We’re letting him out now,’” said Black. “Five minutes later, he was at the front door!”
