When you finally finish your homework and get to relax, what do you do? Do you lie (躺) on your bed and play with your phone? Many people find that this does not make them happy. Instead, they feel bored when they are on their phones.
It is very important to have time to play and relax. People use something called “leisure quotient” also as LQ(玩商) to measure (衡量) this. A high LQ usually shows that a person knows how to develop their talents. People with high LQ scores choose activities from what they like and what they are good at. If you know what your interests are and can use and develop them in different ways, then you have a high LQ!
Psychological (心理学的) research show that people with high LQ scores feel happier and avoid depression (抑郁症) and other mental (精神的) illness. Meanwhile, Kenichi Ohmae, a Japanese management expert point out that those who can play will succeed.
Next time you find yourself with nothing to do, don't reach for your phone. Instead, try following your interests and doing something new!
