If everything goes well, she will be one of the first astronauts to go to Mars. Alyssa’s father is supportive. He knows that he may not see Alyssa for a long time, but he still hopes she can do it.
“I don’t think I’m special. Everyone can work hard to go after what they really want,” Alyssa said.
