(2025·无锡期末)Biff is still unhappy when they go to the beach the next day.
"It's just not fair," she says. "I do more jobs, but I still won't get any more pocket money."
"Come on, Biff," calls Dad. "It's such a lovely day to play in the sea."
Biff, Chip and Kipper play in the sea. They have a little boat and they take turns to sit in it.
They all feel cold after they play in the sea for some time. Dad takes them for a walk along the beach. Mum stays behind. Biff begins to look for fossils(化石).
"If I can't buy one, maybe I can find a really good one," she thinks.
They come to a little rocky cove(小海湾). Some people are in the cove. A camera team is doing a fashion shoot.
"I think the girl is a model," said Chip. "They are taking photos for a magazine." The girl smiles at him.
"I hate to be a model," says Biff. "All you do is stand around for ages."
"Just look at those cameras," says Chip.
"Come on," says Kipper. "We're looking for fossils, remember?" The little boy gets angry.
They walk a long way, but they don't find any good fossils. It's time for lunch so they go back to find Mum.
After lunch, Biff and Chip go with Mum to the little rocky cove. The tide is coming in again and the cove is full of water. Biff sees something on a rock. It is a camera.
"The photographers must leave it behind," she says.
"It will soon be under water," says Mum.
"You could swim across and get it," says Chip.
"But I'm not a very good swimmer," says Mum. "I might drop it."
Biff has an idea. "The boat has a long rope. I could swim across safely," she says.
Mum agrees. "Just be careful, Biff," calls Mum.
"It's all right," says Biff. She gets the camera and puts it in a bag and Dad pulls the boat safely back. "Hooray," says Kipper.
At that time, the photographer runs up. "Do you see a camera?" she asks. "I leave one behind in the cove." Biff holds up the bag, "Here it is."
The photographer is pleased. "Cameras like these are expensive," she says. "I'm so glad to get it back." She takes a photo of everyone to say thank you.
Then the photographer wants to give Biff some money. Biff says she can't take the money.
Dad smiles at Biff. "I'm very proud of you, Biff," he says. "I think you are right not to take the money," agrees Mum. "If you do someone a good turn, you shouldn't expect(期待) to get a reward."
