Many tourists visited Qiandao Lake in Chun'an County（县）, China's Zhejiang Province, in March. About 1,500 travellers visited there one day, and the number has grown every day since then, according to the scenic spot's（景点的）workers.
Qiandao Lake covers an area of 580 square kilometres and has more than 1,000 islands covered with many trees. The scenic spot offers favourable policies（优惠政策）to attract travellers to the area. The government hopes that travellers from home and abroad will visit the lake to enjoy many of the places of interest around for free until May 31. Local hotels, restaurants and shops have also given discounts to attract travellers.
“Most travellers visit Qiandao Lake to hike the hill nearby or experience rural life,” says He Lihong, a worker at the scenic spot. “Some have also rented bicycles to go around the lake and enjoy the natural scenery along the way. The lake now offers boat rides and visitors can enjoy special local food in the area.”
The Meifeng Observation Deck（梅峰观景台）is something that travellers shouldn't miss. It offers a full view of the islands. There are photographers taking photos for tourists on the deck, and each photo costs 25 yuan（about 3.8）. When the spot reopened in late February, fewer than 10 people a day went to the deck, compared with about 200 now. Travellers can also choose small islands on the lake, where karst landform（喀斯特地貌）and monkeys can be found.
Chun'an plans to make more favourable policies in the near future to attract travellers from far and wide, according to the county government. The policies aim to draw more people to the Qiandao Lake area.
