Today is our first day in Paris. We had a French breakfast and then we went to see the Eiffel Tower. It is 324 metres high and was built in 1889. We went to the top in a glass lift. The views of the city were great! We saw the Palace of Versailles (凡尔赛宫) and the Notre Dame Cathedral (巴黎圣母院).
Paris is famous for its shops and Mum really wanted to go shopping in the afternoon. Shopping is not my cup of tea so Dad took me and Ben to a park. We played games and watched a show. There was an old roundabout (旋转木马). It was great fun — much better than shopping!
Wednesday 5th August
This morning I ate a long, thin ham and cheese sandwich. Yummy! Then we went to the Louvre Museum. It's a great art museum. There are lots of nice paintings in the museum. The famous painting, Mona Lisa, is in the Louvre. It was boring but there is a cool glass pyramid (金字塔) outside. Ben and I watched some street entertainers (表演者) doing magic tricks.
I am going to bed early because tomorrow we are going to Disneyland Paris. It is very big. I am really excited!
