Liu Haoran was born in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. He grew up in a family that loves sports and lives an active life.
He was very interested in bikes when he was little. And he started to practise BMX (小轮车) at the age of six or seven.
With the help of his coaches at an extreme sports (极限运动) school, Liu learned many tricks (特技). He could jump over obstacles, spin in the air and do simple backflips (后空翻).
Then he began to take part in national BMX contests. *At thirteen, he became the first in the world to do a 2.9-metre high backflip jump. He is really great!
