The first step in learning something is to be curious about it.
Know about your progress.
You need to know your progress every now and then. Take time to check whether or not you've achieved your learning goals.
Set learning goals.
Learning goals should be specific(具体的), workable and achievable(可达到的). Instead of just saying, "I want to get better at Spanish," you might set a smart goal by saying "I want to remember 100 new Spanish words by next week." It's difficult to see how you're progressing when your goal is unclear. Setting smart and clear goals, however, is helpful for your learning.
There is a common belief that knowledge is one thing that will be improved if you share it with others. In order to get a better understanding of what you've learned, it is suggested that you share your ideas and knowledge in communities, groups and class.
