[2025 山东潍坊调研]Dong Lina was born in a farmer’s family in Dalian, Liaoning Province. Dong went blind when she was young. Like many blind children, she finished her education early and began learning tuina. Though the money she got was enough for daily use, she wasn’t pleased (满意的). She was always looking for chances to continue her education at work.
One day, she heard that there was a training programme for blind youth radio hosts in Beijing. Dong, who has had a good voice since childhood, realised that this might be an important chance for her. So she gave herself the courage to make a change. The first time in the broadcast host class, Dong Lina was deeply moved, she realised how moving the sound was.
Since then, it has been a new page in her life. At school, she worked harder than others to change her life. In 2010, Dong took part in a national competition, in which people were moved by her ability and encouraged her to study at the Communication University of China.
On 28th June, Dong Lina, the first blind
