Every year, fires in the wild destroy lots of forest land.
Homes are damaged and many people die. Who can stop this?
It's the smoke jumpers.
Smoke jumpers are special firefighters. They jump from planes or helicopters(直升机). Because they cannot get to the forest by fire engine. Then they race to put out the fire as fast as they can.
It's very difficult to be a smoke jumper. Because they need to know how to survive（生存）in the wild. For example, they must know how to find food in the forest.
The work is dangerous and working hours are long. But for them, it is the best job.
