Ibn Battuta, born in 1304 in Morocco, was one of the most famous travellers in history. When he was 21, he decided to explore the world and started his trip. His first trip was to Mecca, and this was the beginning of his adventures. Over the next 30 years, Ibn Battuta visited more than 40 countries.
He visited many exciting places, such as Egypt, India, and China. During his trips, he met all kinds of people, including rich kings and poor farmers. He learnt about their daily lives, foods, and traditions. Ibn Battuta wrote about his travels in a book called The Rihla. This book helps us learn about the world in the past.
