Zhao Zhansheng, 43, is a member of a rescue team of Henan Province. In the face of the serious floods in July 2023 in Zhuozhou City, North China’s Hebei Province, he and his teammates arrived there to help those in need. Rescuers from different provinces, including Shandong and Sichuan, were seen in the video, standing in lines to receive the meal. People thought highly of Zhao’s heartwarming work. One said, “A pot of noodles may cost around a hundred yuan but his kindness comes with no price.”
“Although the locals’ losses were great, many of them joined me in preparing the meals. I’m thankful for their support as well,” Zhao said. “My other team members are busy saving people from the floods and they have worked even harder than me. My role is to provide support,” Zhao answered the praise.
“If we run out of what we’ve brought, we can buy them locally. I will stay in Zhuozhou until the flood waters move back from a high level, offering help wherever it is needed,” Zhao added.
