Some painters love drawing cats, and they think cats are cute. Cats are their favourite subjects (题材).
Pablo Picasso loved cats very much. He often had cats around him. He painted cats in his pictures, like Cat Catching a Bird.
Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse also loved cats. They painted cats into their works. Chagall's Paris Through the Window has a cat in it. Matisse's Girl with a Black Cat shows a young girl with a cat on her lap (大腿部).
English painter Louis Wain is famous for his drawings of cats. He drew hundreds of different cats.
