A pair of dresses from the 1600s are interesting visitors to the Museum Kaap Skil in the Netherlands. People found them from a ship that went down in the North Sea in 1660. It is said that the shipwreck(沉船) was found in 2014.
One dress is made of silk. Scientists believe it was a wedding(婚礼) dress. It might firstly be light-coloured but turn brown after a long time under water. The other dress is also made of silk and is even better kept. It looks more colourful but it might be one colour at first. The dress may have been stained(弄脏) by other things stored beside it.
People found the dresses in a shipwreck. We don't know who had the dresses or why they were on the ship. Scientists said they might be very expensive, meaning that someone rich had the dresses.
"Finding two such well-kept dresses is one of the most surprising things in history," said Bommel. Bommel was the head of the show at the museum. "A There may only be two such dresses in the whole world. B"
The dresses are now on show in special sealed(密封的) boxes without oxygen(氧). C There will be a TV program about them. D We may watch the dresses in a few months.
