It's a sunny day. Miss Bird and Mr Duck want to visit their friend, Mr Dog. On the way to Mr Dog's home, they must cross a river.

Then they get to the river. Miss Bird says to Mr Duck, "We must fly across the river."
"No! We must swim across the river," says Mr Duck.
They can't agree with each other. An old cow walks by. He says, "You are both right. Birds are good at flying. Ducks are good at swimming. You can cross the river in your own way."
