The Beauty of Daqing’s Wetlands(湿地)
Daqing is famous for its oil. But it also has beautiful wetlands. The wetlands are like a green ribbon(丝带) around the city. They are home to many animals and birds.
Last autumn, my classmates and I visited the Longfeng Wetland Park. It was a sunny day. We saw many birds playing in the water. The most exciting part was seeing the beautiful red-crowned cranes(丹顶鹤). They have white feathers and long legs. They walked beautifully and lightly in the reeds(芦苇). Our teacher told us these cranes are rare, and the wetlands are their important home.
We also saw groups of wild ducks and other water birds. They swam and looked for food. We watched quietly so that we wouldn't scare them away.
Wetlands are very important. They help clean water and air. We must protect(保护) them. Everyone can help by keeping the wetlands clean and not littering(乱扔垃圾). Let's work together to protect Daqing’s green treasure(珍宝)!
