Wang Xindi won the gold medal in men's freestyle skiing aerials (自由式滑雪空中技巧) at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Just two days before, his wife (妻子) Xu Mengtao won the gold medal in the women's game.
Third to jump in the super final (超级决赛), Wang did a very good jump and got 132.60 points. When he knew he was the first, he knelt (跪) in the snow and cheered (欢呼).
This was Wang's third Winter Olympics. He did the best this time. Wang said, "I never thought I could win this gold medal. The Olympics are much harder than the World Cups. I want to thank myself for not giving up. *When things were hard, and when I was down, I'd like to give that myself a big hug."
