Kristen Tapping,a student from London South Bank University, has invented a bike wheel that can help clean pollution in the air. It's called Rolloe.
The wheel uses fins to pull in air as it turns. It then uses filters(过滤器)to take in polluted air and give off clean air back into the environment.
Tapping said users would need to change the filter every week or after about 250 kilometres,to make sure the wheel continues to work well. The wheel fits in the front of a standard bike and weighs about 1 kilogram.
Tapping said she was encouraged to create the wheel when she was biking around London. “In traffic, you always notice the pollution, the heat, the gases and the smell,” she said.
A recent report shows that London's health costs are the highest among all the European cities because of air pollution.
Tapping wants to use the wheel on shared bike projects at first, with the aim of making the wheels available for all bikes to use.
1. What does the wheel use filters to do?
2. How often does the user need to change the filter?
3. Where does the wheel fit?
4. Why are London's health costs the highest among all the European cities?
5. What do you think of the wheel? Why?

1. What does the wheel use filters to do?
To take in polluted air and give off clean air.
2. How often does the user need to change the filter?
Every week or after about 250 kilometres.
3. Where does the wheel fit?
In the front of a standard bike.
4. Why are London's health costs the highest among all the European cities?
Because of air pollution.
5. What do you think of the wheel? Why?
I think it's creative and practical because it helps reduce air pollution in a simple way.(答案不唯一)
答案
1. To take in polluted air and give off clean air. 根据“It then uses filters to take in polluted air and give off clean air back into the environment.”
2. Every week or after about 250 kilometres. 根据users would need to change the filter every week or after about 250 kilometres可知,需每周或每250公里更换过滤器。
3. In the front of a standard bike. 根据The wheel fits in the front of a standard bike可知,车轮安装在标准自行车前轮位置。
4. Because of air pollution. 根据London's health costs are the highest among all the European cities because of air pollution可知,伦敦健康成本最高是由于空气污染。
5. I think it's creative and practical because it helps reduce air pollution in a simple way.(答案不唯一) 本题为开放性作答。

1. 定位原文第二段第二句“It then uses filters(过滤器)to take in polluted air and give off clean air back into the environment.”,提取核心信息作答。
2. 定位原文第三段第一句“users would need to change the filter every week or after about 250 kilometres”,直接提取关键信息。
3. 定位原文第三段最后一句“The wheel fits in the front of a standard bike”,提取安装位置信息。
4. 定位原文第五段“London's health costs are the highest among all the European cities because of air pollution”,提取原因信息。
1. To take in polluted air and give off clean air.
