华罗庚：从店员到数学大师
Hua Luogeng loved maths from a young age. However, his family was poor, so he had to drop out when he finished middle school, and helped his parents to run the store. It didn't stop Hua Luogeng from studying maths.
One day, a lady came to the store to buy something. Hua Luogeng was lost in thought, working on a maths problem, and didn't notice the customer. When the customer asked the price, he told her the number he had just calculated. The customer gave a loud cry, “Is it that expensive?” It pulled him back from his maths world. He found he just made a fool of himself. Then he quickly corrected the error and completed the sale.
Later, Hua Luogeng wanted to continue his calculation, but his draft paper was gone. He realized that the paper he just used for wrapping was his draft paper. Hua Luogeng was so nervous that he immediately ran after the customer. He finally caught up with the lady. The lady was moved and returned it to him.
His love for maths helped him to overcome many difficulties. Through self-study, he eventually became a famous mathematician worldwide.
