Donating blood is thought of as a gift of life. When we give our blood to others, we can save their lives. So every healthy person should be ready to donate blood for others' lives.
It is safe to donate blood. In China, for example, people can donate blood once per six months. A donor捐献者 must be at least 18 years old and in good health.
It is very important that every person should understand the great importance of blood donation. Often, only a little donated blood can save a person's life, so the right donors should always be at hand if there are emergencies紧急情况.
Blood donation is a voluntary act. Volunteers are willing to provide their blood for a community supply. It is important that the voluntary, unpaid blood donation become part of our culture—that's why more people should join the donor actions. Every year, because of blood donation, millions of people worldwide can stay alive, but they will never meet or talk to people who freely donate their blood without asking for anything.
Blood is the most precious gift under certain situations. One day we need an outsider to help us while the other day the person unknown to us will need our help. So donors' blood is always needed. No more than 400 ml of donated blood can save three people's lives. The practice of blood donation is widespread worldwide, and June 14th is World Blood Donor Day, with the purpose of telling people to donate blood and support this worldwide movement.
