Bled Lake: Slovenia’s Natural Treasure
Bled Lake is one of Slovenia’s most beautiful places. It lies in the Julian Alps and takes about 30 minutes by car or 1 hour by train from the capital city, Ljubljana.
This magical place draws visitors worldwide. The highlight is Bled Island right in the center of the lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Visitors can enjoy many activities here. Besides taking long walks around the lake, you can take a visit to Bled Island.You can take a traditional boat ride on a Pletna boat, or even rent a small boat to explore the island. On Bled Island, don’t miss visiting the Church of the Assumption of Mary. Make sure to ring the wishing bell for good luck! Climb the clock tower to see amazing views.

If you love nature, hike up Ojstrica Hill for the best sunrise view of the lake. The 30-minute trail has some steep parts, so walk carefully.
