Every Friday and Sunday, Zhang, a 12-year-old student, visits an artificial intelligence (AI) study room in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, to improve her grades. “It’s quiet here, and the teachers’ help is very useful,” she said.
The study room has AI-based educational programs. They can change the difficulty of questions based on each student’s level. As a result, students’ weak points can be easily fixed.
Besides, most of these AI study rooms are watched over by teachers who guide students, give feedback(反馈意见)to parents, and create special study plans to help students learn on their own. “In AI study rooms, students not only do online learning but also get direct help from teachers,” one teacher explained.
AI study rooms are becoming more and more popular in Chinese cities, especially among parents. Wang, a father, mentions that he feels less worried when his daughter studies alone, as he can get study reports from the apps to check her progress.
