A Day at the Museum
Laura and Mum arrived in Shanghai on the weekend. A group of other kids were there. “This is a children’s tour. Enjoy!” Mum said, waving goodbye.
“Not having fun?” the guide said, looking at Laura’s face. “Nope.” Laura sighed(叹气) but walked with the group.
First, they saw a Degas painting of people in a cafe. “What’s wrong here?” asked the guide. Laura looked carefully and laughed. “There’re no table legs!” “Right!” the guide said. “Degas didn’t draw any legs!” The kids looked confused(困惑的).
“Degas knew a secret. We look at faces and don’t pay much attention to small details(细节). Our brains trick(欺骗) us. So we don’t notice small changes, like the missing legs. Now, who wants to find more secrets?”

答案
1.A 2.A 3.B 4.A
解析
4. 细节理解题,根据原文第四段的描述“We look at faces and don't pay much attention to small details. Our brains trick us. So we don't notice small changes, like the missing legs”,可知人们只关注脸部,没有留意到桌腿这类小细节,B“画作太小”、C“不喜欢这幅画”的内容原文都没有提到,故选A。
