Hello, I'm Chen Fang. My favourite hobby is Chinese paper-cutting. It is a traditional Chinese art, and it makes me feel happy and proud.
I learn paper-cutting from my grandma. She says it has a long history in China. Every weekend, I try to cut out different shapes: flowers, animals, and the Chinese character xi（喜，meaning happiness）. To do it well, I have some good habits.
First, I keep my scissors in order and put them back after use. I also keep my desk clean so the paper doesn't get dirty.
Safety comes first. I know I shouldn't run with scissors in my hand. I must sit down when I cut, so I won't hurt myself. When I finish a beautiful paper-cut, I feel so excited. I like to give my works to my family. They say my paper-cuts make our home warm and lovely.
Paper-cutting teaches me to be careful and patient. I love this traditional art, and it makes my life colourful.
