2025年学霸题中题九年级英语上册译林版第91页答案
Ⅵ.阅读与回答问题
根据短文内容,回答下列问题。(每题答案不超过10个词)
We caught up with 16-year-old Australian world champion climber Angie Scarth-Johnson to find out how she had got to this point in her life.
Q: What got you into climbing?
A: It was my mum's fear of me hurting myself. Like many kids, I was always climbing trees. From the age of three, I thought anything that looked climbable needed to be climbed. I started to have accidents that sometimes led to me making hospital visits. Then when I was seven, Mum finally found the solution to my strange climbing addiction (嗜好)—a climbing gym. And it changed my life.
Q: You were only nine when you climbed a grade 31 (攀岩难度路线). What do you make of that?
A: That's one of the most memorable moments of my life. It's hard to explain how meaningful and important achieving a grade 31 at nine is. It requires physical strength kids rarely have. Now, as an experienced climber, I know how difficult it was to believe a nine-year-old could do it. When I climbed the grade 31, I never thought of it as being unachievable—it was just a challenge. And it was the moment in which I felt anything was possible. I reflect on this when something starts to feel impossible now.
Q: 4
A: I tried many sports but I never got that feeling of freedom that climbing can give to me. I'm in complete control of my mind. I know what I must do and during that period of time, my surroundings disappear. I can only feel the movement of my body; the only sounds I'm aware of are the birds, my steady breath and maybe a slight breeze. When I'm finally able to reach the top, it is a feeling like no other.
Q: What advice do you have for new climbers?
A: Make an ambitious goal and just go for it. I'd never be in this position if I held back. Go beyond expectations and continue to believe it's possible even if it's never been done before. And this mindset can be used throughout all aspects of your life.
