Young loggerhead sea turtles (赤蠵龟) “dance” when they wait for food. This action helped scientists find something important.
Young loggerhead sea turtles are amazing sea animals. When they take long trips, they can find their way by feeling Earth's magnetic fields (磁场).
The scientists put baby loggerhead sea turtles into two buckets (桶) many times. The two buckets had different magnetic fields. The scientists gave food to the turtles in one of the buckets. *The turtles began to “dance” every time they felt that magnetic field.
This gave the scientists an important finding. The baby loggerhead sea turtles could connect (把……联系起来) the magnetic signal (信号) with food.
