I am writing to thank someone. I don’t know his name, but I hope that he will see this letter in your newspaper and know how thankful I am. This man was kind to my mum and me and we want to say “thank you” to him for helping us.
Last week, I was walking with my mum in Mong Kok when a man suddenly pushed (推) my mum to the ground and took away her bag. My mum was hit (受重击) on the head and there was blood (血) on her face. I was afraid and couldn’t move. Then a homeless man helped us. He ran after the robber (抢劫犯). A few minutes later he came
back with my mum’s bag. He gave the bag to my mum and helped her stand up. After that, he asked for my phone and called for an ambulance. Next, he gave back my phone. When I put the phone in my bag and turned to thank the man, he was gone. He helped us a lot, but he didn’t want anything in return (回报).
My mum and I went back to Mong Kok, but we couldn’t find him. If any of your readers know him, please tell us where we can find him. We would like to thank him and give him a small gift.
