捷克拖延七年的工程被河狸火速完成
Beavers are small animals, but they can do big things. Recently, some beavers made a dam on a river in the Czech Republic. This fixed a problem that humans couldn't solve for seven years.
In 2018, people living near the river wanted to build a dam to protect the wetland and help endangered animals. They planned to spend about 30 million Czech koruna(9 million yuan), but the project was delayed because of lots of paperwork and land talks.
Luckily, some beavers came and built the dam for free! Beavers are like nature's engineers. They use their sharp teeth to cut down trees and gather rocks, mud, and wood to build strong dams. The whole family works together—some chew trees, some collect materials, and others put everything together. The dam they built is not only strong but also perfectly placed, even better than what people planned!
The beavers didn't build the dam to help humans but to create a "beaver pond". This wet area helps them find food and stay safe from predators. However, their work also helped the environment by creating a new wetland that is much bigger than what people planned.
This story shows how smart and hard-working beavers are. Sometimes, nature can fix problems better than people!
