C
Once, there was a little boy named Brain. One day, he ran to the door of the school building as usual. He couldn't wait to get home. He knew his trading cards would be in the mailbox waiting for him. He came to the bike rack(支架) and looked for his bike.
“What?” cried Brain. He couldn’t see his bike anywhere. He searched and searched again, but he couldn’t find his bike. He was so angry when he made his way to the principal’s office. He couldn’t believe someone would steal(偷) his bike.
After he reported it to the principal, he hurried home. Brain opened the box and began playing with the cards. Just then, his friend called to see if he could meet him at the park for baseball. Brain set out on foot towards the park. “Oh! This makes me so mad! I wish I had my bike.” The next morning Brain got a ride to school. After school, he walked home. It was a hot walk home without the bike.
“They found your bike,” his mother said calmly.
“What? Where?” asked Brain.
“It’s in the garage where you left it,” said Mom.
“No way!” said Brain.
He threw open the garage door, only to find his bike gleaming up at him. Brain was excited and embarrassed. That night over dinner, he shared the story and a laugh with his family.
