Diary of a 13-year-old boy: Jim
Dear Diary,
Today was a special day for our school! We learned by working instead of just sitting in a classroom all day.
In the morning, my classmates and I went to our vegetable field. We planted carrots and cabbages. Our teacher, Mr Li, taught us how to water the plants well. It was hard work, but I loved getting my hands untidy! After that, we visited the school's zoo. We saw some animals and fed them food! The zoo helps us understand animals better.
At noon, we had lunch in the dining hall. The food was delicious! The rice, vegetables and chicken were from our own care. It's such a good idea because we didn't need to buy anything from the market.
In the afternoon, we went to the greenhouse(温室). It was warm inside, and there were fruit trees. We learned how plants grow in different seasons. I can't wait to taste the fruits one day!
