It was a usual (平常的) evening. My dog was in his favourite little bed next to me as usual. The room was very quiet. I glanced over a few times and saw a shape (形状) in the bed. I thought it was my dog. So I kept doing my own things.
After nearly two hours, I walked closer and got a big surprise. The “dog” in the bed was not my dog. It was just a stuffed lamb toy! In the soft light, the toy looked just like him. I did not notice (注意) that he had left without any sound. What a sweet dog! He put this toy there to keep me company (陪伴) before leaving.
When I finally found him in his room, he was fast asleep. I could not help laughing. He looked comfortable and relaxed. *Maybe he was wondering (想知道) why I did not come to stay with him earlier.
