Everyone wants to have good friends and keep the friendship for a long time. So, how can we do that? Friendship is like a young tree. If you take good care of it, it will grow tall and strong. Here are some tips to keep the friendship strong.
First, spend time with the people you want to be friends and join in their plans. If you don't agree with their plans, give your idea in a friendly way, like "I like that idea, but maybe we could..."
Second, be a good listener. When talking, show others that you're really interested.
Third, get to know people well by sharing "safe" ideas with them. It's not always "safe" to tell others what you worry about. But you can talk about TV shows or your favourite football team.
Lastly, stay positive. Don't spend too much time on unhappy things. Talk about the good things in your life because no one wants to face problems all the time.
Be a good friend first if you want to have a good friend.
