A
Last Saturday morning, I went to the city library with my best friend Lucy. The weather was fine and the sun was shining warmly. We talked happily on the way, feeling relaxed and joyful. Lucy wanted to borrow some interesting English storybooks because she loved reading very much and wanted to improve her English.
When we were walking across a busy street, we noticed a little girl sitting alone on the side of the road. She was crying loudly with tears rolling down her face. She looked so scared and helpless that we felt really worried and sorry for her. We immediately walked over and asked her gently what was wrong.
She told us anxiously that she had got separated from her mum in the crowded street. She was too nervous to remember her mum's phone number at all. We decided to stay with her and tried our best to calm her down. Lucy took out a candy from her bag and gave it to the girl to make her feel better. At the same time, I went to ask the nearby shopkeepers and passers-by if they knew the little girl's family.
After about half an hour, a woman ran over in a hurry, looking extremely worried. As soon as she saw the little girl, she hugged her tightly with tears in her eyes. It turned out to be the little girl's mum. She thanked us repeatedly for our kindness and patience in helping her daughter.
Although we were a little late for the library and didn't borrow the books we wanted, we didn't feel sorry at all. Instead, we felt a strong sense of happiness and pride. This experience made me realise that helping others not only brings warmth to those in need but also fills our own hearts with joy and satisfaction.

答案
1. C 2. A 3. C
解析
She told us anxiously that she had got separated from her mum in the crowded street."
Lucy took out a candy from her bag and gave it to the girl to make her feel better."
Instead, we felt a strong sense of happiness and pride. This experience made me realise that helping others not only brings warmth to those in need but also fills our own hearts with joy and satisfaction."
