A good lesson
When I was a child, my mother often made bread for dinner. One day, I saw her go to the kitchen. After a long time, my mother came out and put the food in front of my father and me—some eggs and burned(烧焦的) bread. I didn't complain(抱怨). I was surprised that my father didn't, either. He smiled at me and began to eat the bread.
The next morning, my mother said sorry to my father for the burned bread. And I will never forget what my father said, “Dear, I loved that burned bread.”
Later I asked my father if he really liked the burned bread. He said, “Dear, your mother was busy with work that day and she was really tired. We should understand her.”
In fact, if we can understand each other, the world will become better.

Last summer, I went to Beijing with my parents. We visited many famous places such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. The weather there was sunny and hot. The people were very friendly and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the local snacks. I think it was an unforgettable vacation because I learned a lot about Chinese history and culture.
