The Tiangong Space Station
China successfully built its own space station called Tiangong. Construction began in April 2021 and was completed in less than two years with three modules.
Nine astronaut crews have lived and worked aboard Tiangong, performing nearly twenty spacewalks and conducting over 180 scientific projects. Scientists have achieved important breakthroughs, including growing new rice varieties in space and developing human stem cells (干细胞) in orbit (轨道).

On 25 June, 2024, the Chang'e 6-probe made history by returning with samples from the far side of the moon—the first ever collected from that hemisphere. The mission brought back about 1,935 grams of lunar material after a 53-day journey.
Scientists are studying these samples to learn about the moon's volcanic activity, water content, and magnetic field. The mission also carried
scientific instruments from France, Italy, and the European Space Agency.
Looking forward, China plans more missions, including Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8 lunar missions and a Mars sample return around 2028.
