低碳示范学校
「2026 四川攀枝花直属学校期末联考改编」
In March 2025, our school in Shantou became a low-carbon model school. Two new green systems were put into use—rainwater reuse and rooftop solar power (屋顶太阳能). All students and teachers were excited about these changes, and also we learned how to live a greener life.
The rainwater reuse system is amazing. It collects rain from the playground and building roofs. After cleaning the rainwater, the system uses it to water the school’s trees and flowers and even to wash toilets in our school. Our teacher tells us this system saves about 5,000 cubic meters of water every year. We also have solar boards on the roof. They turn sunlight into electricity to light up our classrooms and power the computers. Now we use less electricity from the city.
To help us learn more, the school holds a “low-carbon class” every Friday. We talk about how to save water and electricity in daily life. We also keep a “green score”—if we remember to turn off lights or reuse water, we get points. Many students now take their own water bottles to school instead of buying plastic ones.
Our classmate Lily said, “These changes in 2025 make our school a better place. We not only save resources(资源) but also learn to protect the Earth. It’s easy and meaningful to live a low-carbon life.” We all feel proud that our school is doing its part for the environment.
