Life in ancient China was full of fun! People had many exciting ways to play.
Cockfighting
In the Tang Dynasty, cockfighting was very popular. Many poems at that time described it. It was a kind of match. People trained strong gamecocks to fight. Others cheered for them. Some people even had the job of training the gamecocks.

Polo
2. It was called "Jiju" in ancient times. Players rode horses and used long sticks to hit a ball into a goal. It was like golf(高尔夫球运动) on horses! Even emperors(皇帝) loved watching it.
Acrobatics(杂技)
Acrobatics were amazing too. Acrobats performed feats, such as bending back, throwing balls and juggling(玩杂耍) with their feet. They performed in the streets and for the emperors. Many people enjoyed the shows. Acrobatics are still popular today.
